Allworx and Bandwidth.com Partner

By Cindy Waxer, TMCnet Contributing Editor

A new combined offering from Allworx and Bandwidth.com promises cost savings, extensive feature sets and superior customer service. That’s good news to today’s resellers targeting small and medium businesses.

Allworx’s alliance with Bandwidth.com marks a mutually beneficial partnership. Bandwidth.com is a complete nationwide communications provider, offering business-class VoIP services that include SIP Trunk connectivity across IP-PBX (News - Alert)/Key systems, T1 or T3 data circuits, network monitoring, management and security. The company's services are delivered over a diverse network of top tier fiber providers including ATT, Verizon (News - Alert), Qwest, Sprint and Level3. Allworx's family of IP-PBX/Key systems include the Allworx 6x, 10x, & 24x offerings, which are designed for businesses from 30 to 100 employees per site. Allworx's VoIP phones and systems bring the power of extensive PBX, and key-based systems to small businesses at a fraction of the cost of other offerings, and provide numerous differentiators, such as a rich SMB feature set, simple installation and flexibility to help SMBs transition to VoIP risk-free and at their own pace.

The combination of Bandwidth.com's SIP Trunking service and Allworx's hardware enables SMBs to consolidate their voice and data over a single T1 or T3. Additional savings can be realized by eliminating the cost and maintenance associated with legacy phone systems and analog channels. Bandwidth's SIP Trunking capabilities deliver local, toll free, domestic and international long distance service across the company's national footprint, which covers 80-percent of the U.S. market, at rates much lower than traditional analog services.

"We've heard from dozens of resellers that have stayed away from VoIP service providers because of issues they face in trying to meet the needs of their SMB customers - and each has told us that the combination of Allworx and Bandwidth.com has renewed their confidence," said Sandra Gault, EVP of marketing for Allworx. "This alliance makes it transparent for the customer to transition from traditional telephone service to VoIP, and it's even easier for resellers to deliver the combined solution. We feel as though our alliance with Bandwidth.com will capture significant interest throughout the SMB market."

Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP) is arguably the single most important technological development for VoIP since the proliferation of Internet Protocol itself. See what all the buzz is about at the SIP Workshop taking place at Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO EAST, January 23–26, 2007. See you in sunny Ft. Lauderdale!
