Blueslice Expands Converged Subscriber Platform SolutionBy Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor Blueslice Networks (News - Alert) reportedly has announced the launch of “AAA 3000,” a solution designed to capitalize on the wireless data services market.
The company said that the AAA 3000’s RADIUS server functionality has been added to the Converged Subscriber Platform, CSP (News - Alert) 3000, enabling Blueslice to push subscriber database consolidation. The addition also allows better integration and convergence throughout the network.
The Blueslice AAA 3000 serves as an Authentication Authorization Accounting Server and is being offered as a simple, software-only upgrade from the ngHLR 3000 and/or HSS 3000. The company says that the need for a Converged Subscriber Platform increases with a rise in need for a universal authentication strategy, and that this platform can jointly manage multiple networks and authentication.
Blueslice also says that “RADIUS,” short for Remote Authentication Dial In User Server, has become a de facto standard in IP networks.
Thanks to the AAA 3000, Blueslice says, service providers can integrate new networks and services as they are deployed and can grow their business by scaling up to support growing subscriber bases and transactions. The company says that AAA 3000 is a business-critical network access control element with a centralized subscriber management database which can improve the subscriber experience.
Stephan Ouaknine, chief executive officer and president of Blueslice, said that the Blueslice AAA 3000 is a carrier-grade solution which can fully scale to integrate new services profitably and handle the growth that comes with data services and subscribers.
He added that Service Providers will have the ability to manage centrally all subscribers while reducing operational costs.
Blueslice is a provider of multi-profile subscriber management solutions for the Mobile, VoIP, FMC, and M2M markets. The company made news earlier this year when Blueslice Networks’ HSS 3000 completed interoperability testing with Cisco’s (News - Alert) IMS soft-switch: the Broadband Telephony Service, or BTS 102000.
