By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor
Sonus Networks (News - Alert) is hoping its upcoming demonstration at the Mobile Asia Conference will generate further interest in its cutting-edge Broadband-Mobile Convergence (BMC) solutions.
A supplier of service provider IP-voice infrastructure solutions, the Westford, Mass.-based company said the opportunities for innovation in wireless represent one of its strongest and most strategic growth areas.
Our ability to couple our industry- leading core IP network architecture with innovative new edge technologies, like pico- and femtocells, has piqued the interest of network operators across the globe," said Vikram Saksena (News - Alert), chief technology officer, Sonus Networks.
Sonus Networks will also be demonstrating a suite of enhanced next generation applications built using Sonus' IMX 2.0 Multimedia Application Platform. This rich application development and support environment enables network operators to transform the end-user experience through the rapid creation of feature rich applications and services. The latest version of IMX 2.0, released in October 2007, includes new support for wireless networks and answers consumer demand for mobility, personalization, and customization of their communications experience, according to Saksena.
"Geographically, Asia is one of the biggest potential markets for these types of solutions, and our presence at GSMA Mobile Asia enables us to connect with network operators from throughout the region," said Saksena.
GSMA Mobile Asia Congress is the former 3GSM (News - Alert) World Congress Asia. It will be held November 13-15th at The Venetian Macao Convention, Exhibition & Event Center in Macao, China.
