Experian QAS Announced Integrated with Salesforce CRM ASCAP DeploymentBy Raja Singh Chaudhary, TMCnet Contributor Experian QAS, a provider of address verification software and services, reportedly announced that the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, or “ASCAP,” has selected its Address Verification solution for integration into society’s Salesforce Customer Relationship Management, or “CRM,” application. The system will reduce the volume of returned mail and increase the effectiveness of ASCAP’s prospecting efforts by front-end address verification.
On an average, around six percent of ASCAP's mail is returned every month, which hinders on the sales process and cuts short on its ROI potential. Experian QAS address verification system can be integrated directly into ASCAP's Salesforce CRM application, and will let only the verified addresses to enter the application.
The Salesforce CRM applications are powered by Force.com, an enterprise platform for building and running business applications. The platform also supports over 800 ISV partner applications while more than 63,200 of its customers deploy their custom applications, some of which are Japan Post, Kaiser Permanente, KONE and Sprint (News - Alert) Nextel.
ASCAP is a U.S. Performing Rights Organization, or “PRO,” that represents a repertory of over 8.5 million copyrighted musical works of every style and genre from more than 350,000 songwriter, composer and music publisher members. It had first come to know about the Experian QAS on Salesforce.com's (News - Alert) AppExchange.
Soon, the society will integrate the solution across their Salesforce CRM deployment. For managing its data quality, ASCAP also uses a de-duplication tool, and hopes to see an increase in the tool's effectiveness after adding QAS address verification.
According to John Johnson, Vice President of Licensing at ASCAP, the society licenses well over 300,000 accounts annually across the country, and its new business growth rate is significant.
Johnson also said that ASCAP expects to see a measurable reduction in bounced mail in the short term, and is hopeful that address verification will ultimately lead to increased closings in future. The society will be better able to put license agreements into the hands of customers by increasing its mailing accuracy, Johnson added.
David Northridge, Director of Customer Retention at Experian QAS, said that this new system address quality is critical for organizations as it is one of the key contact points for customers and prospects. The company’s goal is to enable companies, like ASCAP, to communicate more effectively and to improve business results.
Recently, Experian QAS announced plans to make its QAS available for Salesforce CRM enabling the Salesforce.com users to use Experian QAS address verification directly within Salesforce CRM. Later, Jenzabar, Inc., a provider of software, services and strategies for higher education declared its partnership with Experian QAS to improve the value of Jenzabar EX data used for recruitment, retention, development, and marketing communication activities.
