Symmetrics' nVISION On Demand Available for Free Contact Center TrialBy Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor Symmetrics has announced its new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) application, nVISION On Demand, is now available on a free trial basis. Designed to help contact centers to quickly integrate data from different contact center data sources, reports and spreadsheets, nVISION On Demand enables these centers to efficiently analyze and share information to make better business decisions.
Targeted at smaller sized contact center operations, the solution is designed to appeal to the center without the budget or resources to support a full on-premise solution. These centers still require reporting and analytic capabilities that will go beyond the standard, built-in reporting found in contact center applications. This new application is expected to be generally available in the fourth quarter of 2009, but the company is actively pursuing customers now who want to trial the application – which is free with no purchase obligation during the trial period – in order to evaluate its benefit and value. As it is a hosted solution, the application is delivered completely online, with no software, hardware or internal IT resources required. When it launches in the market, it will be sold on a monthly or annual subscription payment model. nVISION On Demand offers contact centers simple data gathering capabilities through the uploading of existing reports or spreadsheets that already hold contact center data; intuitive question interface for analyzing data; powerful sharing and collaboration functionality; and the ability to get up and running very quickly with pre-built QuickStarts. "We are extremely excited about this new on demand offering, as it will help us address a very significant portion of the contact center market, namely smaller contact centers who have limited budget and resources for critical reporting and analysis needs" says Richard McElroy, COO of Symmetrics, in a statement.
nVISION On Demand is designed to eliminate manual copying, pasting and data manipulation to allow customers to easily consolidate new data into one master data set. The solution also eliminates the need to know anything about connecting to underlying databases access permissions or SQL; nVISION On Demand can read Crystal Report files, CSV export files and Microsoft (News - Alert) Excel spreadsheets. McElroy added, "Unlike conventional business intelligence solutions, nVISION On Demand is designed for people of all skill levels -- from technophobes to technophiles -- so that everyone can get insight into their contact center operations without relying on IT or learning new software."
Virtual contact centers and hosted solutions are gaining in popularity as more and more companies have come to realize the benefits that can be had, without the significant capital outlay. Whether the contact center is housed internally, or set up on a virtual platform, hosted solutions enable contact centers of all sizes to perform as well as the largest competitor, without the competitor’s cost.
