New Tool from Daston Offers Real-time Calendar Integration for NetSuite and Google AppsBy Patrick Barnard, Senior Web Editor, TMCnet As more organizations transition from legacy business software to NetSuite (News - Alert) and Google Apps, the need for solutions that integrate these two apps has increased.
That’s why SaaS (News - Alert) technology solutions provider Daston Corporation has released a new, 100-percent-cloud-based tool that offers real-time calendar integration for NetSuite and Google (News - Alert) Apps. The solution offers a simpler way to manage business events across applications and mobile devices. McLean, Virginia-based Daston is a development partner of NetSuite and a selected enterprise reseller of the Google Apps suite. The company developed the new calendar integration tool as a result of customer demand for solutions that streamline operations and boost productivity in and out of the workplace. Through this integration, any time a user creates or updates a calendar event in either NetSuite or Google Calendar, event details such as attendees, attendance status, location, time and recurring events are automatically reflected in the other application. Officials at Daston say this new cloud-based tool, which requires no client software, will help businesses communicate and collaborate in new, innovative ways. Users save time because they no longer need to enter and manage duplicate information among various systems. Businesses also can more easily organize and maintain events with current and prospective customers. "As a seasoned road warrior, having up-to-the-minute insight into my schedule is paramount," said Gary Callen, president of Daston Corp., in a press release. "With the real-time integration offered through the new solution, whenever my assistant makes changes to my schedule I can now instantly view these updates on my NetSuite and Google calendars, as well as my Blackberry." Daston, which offers services and solutions in the areas of information technology, SaaS, financial management and management consulting, claims its will be enhancing the integration in the upcoming months by incorporating contacts and tasks integration.
Daston helps organizations harness the full power of NetSuite and Google Apps by providing services around implementation, data migration, system integration, training and application support. CRM solutions provider Netsuite made news on TMCnet earlier this month when it announced integration between its cloud computing platform and that of salesforce.com.
