Air2Web Intros AirCARE SMS Customer Care ProgramBy Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributing Editor In an effort to use the Short Message Service (SMS) to provide customer service, Air2Web, a mobile messaging company connecting consumers with brands via their mobile devices, has announced the launch of AirCARE.
As the communication devices are on the rise, consumers do not often have the patience to wait for their queries or complaints. Many a times, the delay in providing a response to the customer may be the difference between retaining that customer and losing them. So many companies are making use of advanced technologies to provide a fast, accurate response to the customers.
Since, mobile messaging can be delivered any place anytime; AirCARE seeks to improve customer service and support by making use of the immediacy and interactivity of SMS. Also, since the companies are looking to offload more expensive means of communication, the managed service offering provides many self service options to the customers.
“AirCARE provides the convenience and flexibility of SMS technology for companies who want to offer a greater level of customer support, while significantly reducing the cost of customer interactions,” says Air2Web (News - Alert) President and CEO, Tom Cotney. “The time has never been better for large enterprises to deploy this technology.”
Apart from services such as authorizing bill payment or re-setting a password, AirCARE can be used for simple interactions such as alerts, order status, payment reminders, account information, transactions and delivery notifications.
AirCARE allows the companies to notify the utility customers of service interruptions, thereby avoiding large inbound call volumes. Consumers can obtain account information or order status from financial institutions and retailers. Also, market studies show that a number of best-in-class call centers are already leveraging text messaging, compared to below average performers at only 37 percent.
In November last year, the company announced a new campaign tool, Brand Asset Download, which adds to the depth of Air2Web's Mobile Marketing Solution Series (MMSS) by assisting brands in connecting and engaging with customers through mobile ringtones and wallpaper. Air2Web claims that this tool optimizes and delivers images and audio content to thousands of US mobile phones and is one of many MMSS features the company is introducing in the coming months.
