IPVG's call center venture to expand to 150 seats
(Business World (Philippines) Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) The newly setup call center venture of listed firm IPVG Corp. is set to expand to 150 seats by yearend from the present 50 seats.
IPVG formed IP Contact Center Outsourcing (IP-CCO) this month to cater to the inbound and outbound call center requirements of all its subsidiaries, plus requirements from third-party foreign clients.
Engaged in the information technology (IT) business, IPVG operates a data center subsidiary called IP Converge and IP E-Game Ventures, an online game publisher.
"We are consolidating our local call center requirements under IP-CCO. And at the same time address call center requirements from North America. This early, we are now servicing the requirements of one multinational firm," a ranking IPVG official told BusinessWorld.
By end of this year, IP-CCO is set to increase total seats to 150 from the present 50.
"We are now looking at potential satellite offices to prepare for the growth," the official said. IP-CCO operates from the RCBC Plaza in Makati City, a Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA)-accredited building.
The official did not disclose the amount of capital expenditures alloted for the venture, but hinted that the call center venture is one of the beneficiaries of the recent move of the company to raise capital.
On Tuesday, IPVG approved the issuance of 100 million shares at a price not less than the par value of P1 for future fund-raising activities.
IPVG Corp. is a result of the merger between MBf, Inc. and IPVG Corp. formerly Adobo Inter-active, Inc.
