Dow Corning Corporation Selects Cognizant for Its Strategic ERP and CRM Initiative to Optimize Supply Chain Network
TEANECK, N.J. --(Business Wire)-- April 11, 2006 -- Cognizant's Global Resourcing, Industry Intelligence and Systems Expertise Provides Business-aligned Technology Solutions to Dow Corning
Cognizant Technology Solutions (NASDAQ: CTSH), a leading provider of IT services, today announced that it has expanded its strategic customer partnership with Dow Corning Corporation, a leader in silicon-based technology, products and solutions. Cognizant will implement a large-scale mySAP CRM 5.0 system, which will be tightly integrated with SAP's next generation NetWeaver platform.
An early adopter of a broad range of SAP products, Dow Corning decided to standardize its ERP and CRM systems on the SAP NetWeaver platform across multiple locations, and selected Cognizant to collaboratively optimize its value chain network across 48 geographies and sites. Leveraging its long-standing relationship with Dow Corning across consulting, application development, application maintenance, SAP R/3, SAP BW, and SAP XMII (formerly Lighthammer) engagements, Cognizant is combining its manufacturing industry intelligence, systems expertise and global functional and technical resources to help Dow Corning build this value chain network.
