Ingres Unveils New Icebreaker Business Intelligence (BI) Appliance

Ingres Corporation has unveiled a new Business Intelligence (BI) appliance, Ingres Icebreaker, powered by Jaspersoft.

 

This updated version of Ingres Icebreaker is integrated with Salesforce CRM for simple and less expensive access to sales data and allows customers to now use the offering to interface with data in their Salesforce deployment.

 

In addition, customers have new features such as easy-to-read dashboards, ad hoc queries, and trend-analysis reporting as well as the ability for more employees to access their data in Salesforce CRM at no extra charge.

 

The Ingres Icebreaker BI Appliance consists of the complete Jaspersoft BI suite, a full-featured, scalable business intelligence solution so that customers can also address costs of ownership, integration, and maintenance schedules.

Recently, the company announced that it joined the Open Source Channel Alliance, a group founded by Red Hat and SYNNEX (News - Alert) Corporation, to extend the value of open source to a broad set of customers through SYNNEX' 15,000 resellers. Ingres joined as a charter member and has signed a distribution agreement with SYNNEX so that Ingres’ offerings will now be available through SYNNEX's distribution channel.
