Irwin Lazar
Vice President, Communications Research,
Nemertes Research Associates
Irwin Lazar is the Vice President for Communication and Collaboration Research at Nemertes Research, where he develops and manages research projects, develops cost models, conducts strategic seminars and advises clients. His background is in network operations, network engineering, voice-data convergence, and IP telephony. Mr. Lazar is responsible for benchmarking the adoption and use of emerging technologies in the enterprise in areas including VOIP, unified communications, Web 2.0 initiatives, social networking, and collaboration.
A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and sought-after speaker and author, Mr. Lazar is a columnist for No Jitter and Enterprise2Blog. He is a frequent resource for the business and trade press. and is regular speaker at events such as Interop, VoiceCon, and Enterprise 2.0. Mr. Lazar serves as the conference director for FutureNet (formerly MPLScon), and is on the advisory board for the Enterprise 2.0 conference

Ajay Kapoor
Director, Avaya Professional Services Consulting Practice
Mr. Kapoor is the Managing Director of Strategic Communication Consulting within Avaya Professional Services and is responsible for leading a global team that enables Avaya’s clients to make business transformations through communications. Ajay recently lead the Global Unified Communications Practice and was responsible for the professional services that surround Avaya’s world class communication systems including IP Telephony, network consulting, security, and unified communications.
Ajay is an IP Telephony and Unified Communications veteran and has spent most of the last decade focused on the technology and the largest deployments in the world. Previously, he was Director of Customer Advocacy for Avaya Global Services and has also held leadership roles in Research & Development, Customer Support, and Client Service Management. Ajay is a graduate of the University of Texas with degrees in Computer Science and Philosophy is married and calls Denver, Colorado home.

Greg Weber
Strategic Architect, Avaya Aura
Greg Weber joined Lucent Technologies in 1998 after receiving his undergraduate degree in computer science and master’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University. Greg initially began his career developing features for the flagship Definity G3r PBX before shifting to an architecture role. As an architect, developer and Tier IV support consultant for Avaya, Greg was instrumental in the evolution of Definity G3r into Avaya Communication Manager and responsible for writing the code that interfaced S87xx Media Servers to port network gateways.
In 2004, Greg began focusing on catastrophic and cataclysmic event survivability for communication systems. During this time, he worked on many reliability enhancements for Avaya Communication Manager and invented the core technology behind Enterprise Survivable Servers.
Currently, Greg has been a strategic architect in the CTO and sales organizations focusing on Avaya roadmap and the Avaya Aura architecture.
