Usually, data deduplication includes getting rid of the redundant data. Duplicate data is deleted in this process, which leaves only one copy of the data in the system. But if data is required once again, the indexing of the data is still preserved.
“Acronis has expanded its market focus to better address the needs of large organizations while continuing to deliver unprecedented features and functions for small and medium-size companies,” said Jason Donahue, Acronis president and CEO, in a statement. “Acronis is rebranding the entire product line to reinforce that Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 delivers significantly more capability than our already successful Acronis True Image family.”
With a centralized, policy-based management for distributed IT systems and infrastructures, Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 allows personnel and time savings. Enabling an IT administrator to design and execute a backup strategy around the globe and match the growth of a business, the solution has the ability to scale to thousands of machines. Systems can be restore to dissimilar hardware with Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Universal Restore option and eliminate the need to acquire identical standby hardware.
Recently, the company
announced the global launch of the Acronis Advantage program, offering comprehensive, multi-level, subscription-based support and maintenance. Acronis Advantage includes an enhanced self-service knowledge base library, expanded pay-per-incident support, and a multi-level subscription-based program. The same quality and variety of options are immediately available to customers around the world.
