Commsready, a company specializing in a range of cost-effective telephone numbers and call management services, has launched a new inbound telephony solution that allows companies to create a disaster recovery facility without installing any heavy-duty hardware and equipment, thus making it more affordable.

Many companies are jeopardizing their future because they have few or no telecoms disaster recovery measures in place, said Commsready. According to Commsready, these companies are also risk losing business because many major retailers and other big corporates refuse to deal with companies that cannot guarantee business continuity.

The new technology from Commsready will enable companies to just use a Web site to set up pre-determined call diversions that can be activated with a simple drag and drop functionality in the event of disaster.

There are no major capital expenditure costs, no ongoing maintenance costs and no issues with moving kit in the event of a disaster or when moving office, clarified the company official.

Inbound callers can be seamlessly redirected to alternative landline or mobile numbers that have been set up in a pre-determined disaster recovery plan in just one click.

Commsready is owned by Uniworld Communications, a provider of a broad range of telecoms products and services. It has a range of telecoms solutions to help companies which includes; plan and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, create more sales opportunities and capitalize on them, and comply cost-effectively with new telecoms legislation. The company has been seeing growing demand from UK firms for its disaster recovery and business continuity telecoms services after all the flood damage in Britain last summer.

“There really is no excuse now for not having proper disaster recovery telephony in place,” said an official from Commsready. “Losing communications at a critical time can kill a business all too easily. Four out of five businesses that have ever suffered a disaster go under within one year. Disaster doesn’t have to mean arson and terrorism. Flooding has had a devastating impact on companies across the United Kingdom – how many of them could have been saved if they’d had simple inbound telephony back-up in place?”
