Timecruiser Computing Corporation, specializing in SaaS (News - Alert) solutions for higher educational institutions, has announced that there is an increase in the market for it’s on demand campus communication, collaboration, and learning systems.

Several institutions have shown interest in CampusCruiser’s portal services and other on-demand services from Timecruiser for meeting institutional requirements.

The advantages offered by the on-demand systems and services are low capital investment, easy software upgrades, performance gains and better overall system value.

“The underlying economics of SaaS multi-tenancy means that colleges can benefit from ongoing improvements and new functionalities without shouldering the workload or cost,” said Allen Wang, Timecruiser’s President and CEO.

“By leveraging Timecruiser’s on-demand solutions, colleges can plan for their expenditures for these technologies over the long run much more easily and concentrate on taking advantage of technology to achieve institutional goals,” added Wang.

Cape Fear Community College, Nash Community College, Keene State College and South West Texas Junior College are just a few of the many public and private colleges and universities which will continue using CampusCruiser, said the company.

Timecruiser’s on-demand services like CruiserAlert and CourseCruiser have also been added to existing Timecruiser services by some online and traditional institutions. These include College of DuPage, Haywood Community College, Eastern Wyoming Community College and Northeastern Iowa Community College, among others.
