Verizon (News - Alert) Business is now offering its Managed Local Area Network (LAN) Services in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region also. Earlier, this service was only available in United States.

It delivers innovative and seamless business solutions to customers around the world. It combines unsurpassed global network reach with advanced communications, security and other professional service capabilities.
 
Managed LAN services by Verizon, provides a seamless environment between the corporate headquarters' network and its extended network which connects to its partners, customers, remote employees and suppliers. The service also enables its customers to outsource management of their corporate networks, either completely or partially.
 
Verizon Managed LAN Service offers its customers with a comprehensive and flexible range of LAN management capabilities that can be customized to suit each customer's specific needs. With Verizon’s Managed LAN services multinationals can receive global and local comprehensive network management experience, expertise, resources and capabilities. The service uses Cisco (News - Alert) Catalyst switches.
 
Enterprises are benefited with a seamless view of WAN (wide area network) and LAN environments, which enhances performance and reliability. This reduces the overall network operational costs and also reduces the risks involved while deploying converged networks and emerging IP-based applications such as VoIP.
 
Dustin Kehoe, principal analyst of Current Analysis, said in the press relese: "The LAN is just as important as the WAN. The end-to-end customer solution enabled by Verizon Managed LAN will be very attractive to the enterprise customer, and makes Verizon Business a stronger managed services supplier."
 
Mike Marcellin, vice president, global product marketing for Verizon Business, also said in the press release: "The LAN is becoming an increasingly business-critical and performance-sensitive environment. Our global customers are increasingly looking to bring the same high levels of performance and reliability they have come to expect in the extended enterprise to the corporate headquarters. By outsourcing LAN management to a trusted third party, and tightly integrating it with the WAN, customers are able to enhance their overall network performance and availability and better support their overall business needs."
 
Verizon Business acquires, installs, configures and tests LAN-related equipment and proactively manages the performance and usage of the LAN.
 
Verizon Business' IMPACT network management platform offers practical monitoring to enable more effective bandwidth management, ensure network continuity and reduces downtime.
 
Access to Verizon Business Customer Center portal enables real-time tracking of the managed-service implementation process, project status, inventory tracking, contacts, change management requests and more.
