PHONE+ magazine has named Covad (News - Alert) Communications, a major national provider of integrated voice and data communications, as one of the Top 50 Channel Programs.

PHONE+ magazine is a monthly publication of Virgo Publishing, which focuses on the telecommunications indirect sales channel. The magazine’s Channel Program Guide special issue recently announced Covad and other award recipients.

Debbie Jo Severin, Covad vice president of corporate marketing expressed her company’s delight at being recognized by PHONE+. She said that this year Covad enhanced their training, communications, and the promotions that they offer, which has made them even easier to do business with.
The company explains that over the past year, they developed its channel partner program to include an enhanced competitive commission plan, as well as an online quoting system and order management tools. Partners can use these tools to follow the status of all orders, monitor current commissions and commission histories and run reports on this information. According to Covad, all of these developments have contributed to the company’s continued status as one of the top 50 channel partners in the nation.

“PHONE+ is honored to bestow special recognition upon Covad,” said Mike Saxby, group publisher for PHONE+ in a statement. He noted that Covad’s support for its indirect channel is a key differentiator for the company and a driver of its growth strategy.

Covad was reportedly chosen from hundreds of companies considered in the voting process. The winners are voted on by indirect sales partners, and represent communications suppliers who provide their agents with that extra something -- extra attention, rapid quotes, sales training or special promotions. Covad points out that these attributes makes them the ‘easy to do business with’ provider for channel partners.
