appliances, Secure Services Gateway (

Alert) (SSG) platforms and WXC application acceleration platforms to offer reliable, fast and secure access to services and applications over a single network.
Juniper's WXC wide-area network (WAN

) acceleration platforms helps Intermatic maximize WAN investments, improve application response times, and control and prioritize key applications. The WXC platforms allow Intermatic to increase the scale and performance of its business-critical applications.
Juniper's SSL VPN appliances give Intermatic's partners, employees and customers secure remote access to files and applications, allowing for worldwide collaboration on projects in a secure environment. And as Intermatic grows the Secure Access SSL VPN appliances will permit transparent and rapid network access to new employees while the disparate networks are integrated.
"Juniper's high-performance network infrastructure provides us with greater choice and control in quickly meeting our high-performance business requirements and has significantly improved the availability of applications and data to our employees, partners and customers," said Intermatic IT Manager Pete Revel. "Since deploying Juniper's products, we've realized phenomenal results in application performance with up to a 6X improvement in Common Internet File System (CIFS) traffic allowing employees to open large files in sub seconds rather than waiting the typical 30 to 90 seconds."
Juniper's J-series services routers provide predictable high-performance and an array of flexible interfaces that are able to deliver reliable and secure network connectivity to branch, regional and remote offices. Running the modular, consistent JUNOS software, the J-series routers extend modularity and services integration to the branch, offering routing

with security.
Intermatic leverages Juniper's SSG security platforms and J-series services routers for high-performance secure branch office connectivity. The SSG security platforms, in addition to performing stateful VPN and firewall

functions, protect inbound traffic flows from spyware, worms, Trojans and malware with optional Unified Threat Management security features which include antivirus, intrusion prevention, Anti-Spam and Web Filtering functionality.
