NTT/VERIO IPv6 Gateway Services,
the next generation communication platform for Internet traffic, is
the first large-scale IPv6 commercial offering in North America. It
offers enhanced performance, manageability, scalability and data
protection on the NTT/VERIO Global IPv6 backbone. Additionally, as
Internet-enabled mobile devices and home appliances continue to grow
in popularity, IPv6 will provide a better way to send data over the
Internet.
NTT/VERIO IPv6 Gateway Services
consist of three different solutions: Native Service offers
customers a dedicated IPv6 connection, while IPv6 Tunneling Service
uses an existing IPv4 connection. The third solution, IPv6 Dual
Stack Services, is the best option for customers who want to get the
most out of both IPv6 and IPv4 over the same link to the Internet.
IPv6 Gateway Services offers fixed or burstable bandwidth, Border
Gateway Protocol (BGP) and DNS. Future enhancements will offer
features exclusive to IPv6, including augmented VPN product
offerings. Unlike IPv4, enhanced capabilities allow for full
integration of the IPsec framework in IPv6, enabling end-to-end,
secure communications.
