A study carried out by MBO Partners revealed contingent workers will make up 50 or more percent of the U.S. workforce by 2020. The study goes on to say that the freelance component growth will be significantly higher than today’s 30 million freelancers currently working across the United States. This has increased the availability of the talent pool to organizations around the world, requiring a new methodology in accessing the available workforce in this labor landscape.
The strategic alliance between IQNavigator, an independent provider of non-employee workforce management solutions, and Genesys (News - Alert), a talent cloud innovator providing curated talent resources, will extend the ecosystem of the former so it can address the labor challenges its customers are facing.
"In today's highly competitive global marketplace, employers must identify and capitalize on every available talent source as they deal with an aging workforce readying for retirement and younger workers seeking greater work-life balance," said Joe Juliano, president and CEO at IQNavigator.
Genesys brings a patent-pending process to identify, engage, curate, and connect workers to enterprise workforce demand using flexible aggregated sourcing techniques and tools, and combines it with SaaS (News - Alert) technology. This gives organizations the ability to leverage talent clouds, accelerate hiring cycle times, reduce cost and create a virtual bench for meeting future demand.
Companies can now take a more strategic approach to targeting, sourcing, and curating candidates so they can get the talent that best aligns with their organization so key roles get filled sooner.
“This alliance is great news for IQNavigator’s customers and MSP partners because Genesys has such strong expertise in the contingent worker space,” said Kevin Poll, VP of Strategic Alliances at IQNavigator. They provide quicker and more cost effective access to clouds of workers not available from other sources.”
Today’s technology gives employees with exceptional talent the flexibility to work from anywhere. This includes working for one company or multiple organizations as a freelancer on a project basis or other arrangements. The war for talent, as Poll stated, is very real, and the battle for non-employee workers with specialized skills is getting fiercer. With this new alliance between IQNavigator and Genesys, organizations will have access to technologies that will simplify the process of finding the best talent.
