Since Metropolis Technologies is also part of the Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert) program--they're a Technology Partner, specifically--it gives them an extra advantage in ensuring that their products work well with Avaya releases. As a Technology Partner, Metropolis can actually submit their products for review by Avaya itself to ensure full interoperability.

Better, Metropolis' newest offering in OfficeWatch isn't its only offering; OfficeWatch is just part of a steadily expanding product line that includes a wide array of telemanagement and call accounting systems alike, and since the combination of Metropolis' products and Avaya's can offer up information like call volume information and emergency alerts, among others, it ensures that Metropolis has the best chance at being part of the widest number of operations.

While there are currently more than a few options out there in terms of tracking employee use of phone lines, OfficeWatch's distinctions--owing largely to their close link with Avaya--make it one of a little extra note. Distinguishing a product from its slew of competitors is seldom an easy task, but for the company that makes the effort, dividends are almost sure to follow.
