Shyft-ing WFM More in a Mobile Direction
The digital age is driving change, this we know all too well. Sure, the cloud deserves much of the credit, but tireless development and the curiosity of creativity is giving this new age shape. One of the tenants of this new era is mobility, and development in workforce management software is working to meet the demand.
Shyft Technologies announced a successful round of funding for it workforce management app. The series A funding totaled $6.5 million led by Madrona Venture Group and Ignition Partners.
Already chosen as the mobile workforce management platform for Athleta, Banana Republic, Old Navy and the Gap, the mobile app enables team members to message each other to swap shifts, ensuring the proper staffing levels are maintained.
“Shyft’s mobile platform is in high demand from global brands and associates to solve their scheduling challenges. Antiquated methods such as social media groups, text messages, and phone lists aren’t keeping up with today’s hyper-connected workforce,” said Shyft Co-founder and CEO Brett Patrontasch. “Shyft saves managers significant time that can be better used to serve customers and manage other aspects of the business that drive ROI. We are relentlessly focused on providing a groundbreaking mobile user experience for frontline workers, something traditional enterprise software companies have not prioritized.”
