Joe Olson Joins as VP of Enterprise Workforce Management at Empower Software Solutions

Empower Software Solutions, a provider of workforce management solutions, has announced the appointment Joe Olson to the position of executive vice president and general manager of Enterprise Workforce Management.

Olson has over two decades of software industry experience. He will become a key member of the company’s leadership team and report to president and CEO Jim Hoefflin, the company said in a statement. In his new role, Olson will be responsible for the commercial activities and delivery related to the company’s flagship Workforce Management solution, EmpowerWFM, focusing on enterprise clients.

Empower Software Solutions offers integrated human resources solutions suite that features HR/payroll, tax filing and compliance outsourcing, workforce management, talent management, and time and attendance solutions.

“EmpowerWFM is known for not only forecasting and scheduling labor faster than other market alternatives, but also for increasing customer service levels and improving employee self-sufficiency in some of the most complex organizations in the U.S.,” said Olson, in a statement. “I look forward to partnering with our enterprise clients to uncover more value from our solutions."

The workforce management solutions suite is offered to all types of organizations from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies – including several of the largest U.S. retailers. These solutions are delivered via multi-delivery models including cloud, on-premise, laptop or mobile device.

The company claims that its workforce management solutions deliver the technology and flexibility to help businesses efficiently and effectively manage the employee lifecycle and enhance company performance.

Olson spent his last 14 years at RedPrairie (now JDA Software Group (News - Alert)) in a number of sales, services and development leadership positions. Most recently he served as vice president and general manager for the company’s consumer packaged goods and life sciences business unit.
