AppSense Selected as Exclusive Microsoft Desktop Enablement Partner

The IT industry as a whole has been waking up to the importance of providing a people-centric and consistent user experience to its end-users, regardless of their location, device or operating system.
To this end, AppSense, the people-centric computing company, has been working hard to help clients accelerate the global adoption of Microsoft (News - Alert) solutions and new Microsoft desktops and has also successfully introduced them to the concept of its people-centric computing and user virtualization.
All the hard work was not in vain, for its efforts came to fruition when it was named as the exclusive Microsoft Desktop enablement partner for user personalization solutions in the United Kingdom, according to company officials.
“Being selected as Microsoft’s User Personalization Solution Partner for Desktop Enablement in the U.K. is a testament to the successful work we’re doing in the area of user virtualization,” stated Nick Lowe, vice president, sales for EMEA at AppSense.
The Microsoft Desktop Enablement Partner program is reportedly the first of its kind that will actively endorse proven third party software vendors like AppSense to address the challenges that inevitably arise when users migrate from one Windows OS to another.
In essence, the AppSense user virtualization platform will apparently simplify Windows migration with zero disruption to users, reduce login times, enable improved user rights control, replace legacy login scripts with scalable, centrally managed and easily supported options and in combination with other AppSense solutions support the growing enterprise mobile workforce.
More specifically, AppSense is expected to work with Microsoft’s customers and help them optimize their desktop environment and also overcome the hurdles they face during migration or deployment of Windows7and beyond.
AppSense is also expected to benefit from the company’s experience in the areas of delivering effective BYOX and flexible working solutions.
Deploying a new desktop operating system can be pretty daunting and the impact on user experience and security can be unnerving. Hopefully, AppSense, as a Microsoft Desktop enablement partner will put an end to that.
AppSense announced that the dollar value of orders booked in its fiscal year, ended June 30, 2012, increased 43 percent from the prior year as customers around the globe continued to adopt the company's user virtualization solution.
