WorkForce Software, a provider of workforce management solutions for organizations with complex labor policies and stringent compliance demands, has been included in Software Magazine’s Software 500 ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers for its sixth consecutive year.
The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers, targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. The ranking is based on revenue from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting.
"The 2012 Software 500 results show that revenue growth in the software and services industry was again healthy, with total Software 500 revenue of $643.6 billion worldwide for 2011, representing approximately 19 percent growth from the previous year's list," said John P. Desmond, editor, Software Magazine, in a statement.
WorkForce Software was recognized for its EmpCenter workforce management suite, which helps large employers track employee hours and absences, assign tasks, manage schedules, streamline labor law compliance and mitigate the risk of employee fatigue. With EmpCenter, you’re able to tackle more strategic workforce management goals, like controlling labor costs through eliminating unearned absences, minimizing unplanned overtime and increasing productivity by optimizing schedules and labor.

"The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers, and IT staff research and create the short list of business partners," says Desmond. "It is a quick reference of vendor viability. And the online version, now posted at www.softwaremag.com, is searchable by category, making it what we call the online catalog to enterprise software."
The EmpCenter workforce management suite includes EmpCenter time and attendance, EmpCenter advanced scheduler, EmCenter absence compliance tracker, EmpCenter analytics, EmpCenter fatigue management and data collection. Propelled by strong adoption of the suite, WorkForce Software achieved 33 percent revenue growth in 2012 and secured its spot among the largest software companies.
"Our inclusion once again in the Software 500 highlights not only the strong growth our company has sustained over the years, but also the value of the workforce management solutions we deliver to our expanding client base," said Kevin Choksi, president and CEO of WorkForce Software. "We are honored to be recognized as one of the world's largest software companies on Software Magazine's distinguished list, and I am grateful to the entire WorkForce Software team for their hard work in making this happen."
Workforce management isn’t about simply capturing “punch-in/punch-out” data. Used strategically, workforce management solutions can play a critical role in your organization’s continuous improvement programs. To this end, WorkForce Software also provides an array of optimization services that will help you to ensure your workforce management activities remain in-line with your corporate goals and objectives.
"There is intense competition in today's HR software market, and particularly among workforce management providers, as organizations increasingly look to optimize their labor costs to drive bottom-line results," said China Gorman, industry analyst and CEO of the CMG Group. "Software providers that can anticipate -- and meet -- the dynamic needs of today's HR and payroll professionals are poised for continued growth and will earn recognition through accolades such as the Software 500. I have been watching WorkForce Software with great interest recently and anticipate more great things to come from this company."
