Inscape Data Releases WiFi Video Cam

By Johanne Torres,

Inscape Data Corp., developer of the AirEther line of outdoor IEEE 802.11a/b/g wireless systems, and the AirGoggle line of network video surveillance products, announced today that it released the AirGoggle NVC110W High Power WiFi Network Video Camera specifically designed for remote video surveillance markets.

Inscape designed the new video camera with 200mW of high power IEEE 802.11b wireless transmission that enables great distances to be reached for video surveillance. Additionally, the camera has an SMA connector that allows the usage of a high gain external antenna to create an extended distance for video surveillance, as far as 20 miles or further.

Besides the standard 128-bit WEP security, the NVC110W WiFi Network Video Camera is equipped with end-to-end proprietary encryption software to ensure a higher security between the video source and the monitoring station. Along with other AirGoggle video accessories, such as the PT100 & PT200 Pan Tilt Zoom modules and MZ100 motorized zoom lens, the NVC110W is a video surveillance system.

David D Lin, president of Inscape Data says, "It is flexible, secure, cost-effective, and contains easy-to-use features for long distance wireless video surveillance applications. Recognizing the importance of easy usability and security, the AirGoggle NVC110W High Power WiFi Network Video Camera is capable of supporting extended distances with a higher gain directional panel antenna of up to 21 dBi for mission critical long distance video applications, such as highways, airports, coastlines, and wireless life preservations.

"The AirGoggle NVC110W High Power WiFi Network Video Camera is the newest addition to our entire video surveillance product distribution portfolio. Inscape Data is excited to deliver this unprecedented WiFi network video camera to the market. According to a market research report by In-Stat in June 2003, the wireless and video surveillance product shipments worldwide will grow from 24 million units in 2003 to more than 62 million units in 2007. Such staggering growth will fuel the enormous demand for the wireless communications and video surveillance solutions that we offer," concluded Lin.
