E-Training Makes Sense Economically and Ecologically

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

As more and more companies have become global corporations, many of their key players are operating in disparate geographic locations. While this helps in contributing to an effective global market approach, it can often have an opposite impact on training and effective collaboration within the organization.

Effective training can make the difference between happy, well-adjusted, motivated employees and those that feel disconnected and recognize the lack of a team-oriented approach to every day activities. The latter are more likely to return dismal performance and even leave the company, creating a negative impact on company revenues and expenses.

Onstream Media provides webcasting services that allow companies to keep in touch with all stakeholders, no matter their location. For those that need to deliver or receive training, webcasting can provide an effective and efficient answer to geographic challenges.

Webcasting services from Onstream are designed to specifically deliver rich-media communications to facilitate the integration of data, video and voice to offer true media management and online communication services across multiple geographies and platforms.

Onstream believes that effective collaboration between individuals happens when these individuals are face-to-face. Onstream enables the national or global corporation to implement an E-Train platform and provides an environment where people can speak out, be heard and get involved to make a difference in the company.

This platform ensures that the training the company provides to its employees gives them the skills and knowledge they need to succeed at their jobs. By showing the company how this impacts the bottom line without breaking the bank, executives are much more likely to support such training initiatives. This support can then lead to overall performance improvements.

Onstream virtual classrooms and e-learning solutions complement any training program by allowing the company to stretch their training resources through the elimination of logistical barriers. Trainers and experts can reach more people, more frequently, without the costs of travel, accommodations, resources and especially employee downtime. Plus, the training can be repeated as often as necessary without draining the trainer’s time.

As companies are facing economic turmoil worldwide, as well as a push for “greener” approaches to doing business, webcasting helps to satisfy a reduction in the corporation’s global footprint, while also adhering to reduced training budgets.

With Onstream, businesses throughout the world can deliver maximum training wherever and whenever it is needed, achieving the efficiency and effectiveness necessary to succeed.
