A partnership agreement has been signed between Exinda, a provider of global WAN optimization solutions and Single Digits, a provider of guest network deployments, management software, and technical support solutions.

Exinda announced that Single Digits’ current Guest Internet Access solution will be complimented by this partnership, as this new union will result in vastly improved application response time for Single Digit customers.

Single Digits will be able to provide hotels a means of taking charge of the peer-to-peer traffic flooding their networks with scalable and flexible WAN Optimization appliances provided by Exinda. Unnecessary WAN traffic will be eliminated by Exinda’s x60 family of WAN optimization appliances, reducing expensive bandwidth costs for the hospitality industry property manager.

The inspection, identification and reporting functions are essential for effective WAN optimization and traffic shaping. These functions are provided by Exinda’s ExOS software which runs on the x60 family of WAN Optimization appliances. Accurate identification of all applications including evasive and encrypted applications such as P2P file sharing is enabled by deep packet inspection and heuristic traffic inspection.

Single Digits’ Guest Internet Access solution provides a full suite of authentication, authorization and accounting or tools along with network monitoring, usage reporting and trouble ticketing for an entire portfolio of properties via a single user interface.

The network experience for guests has improved with the integration of Single Digit and Exinda’s intuitive products.

The life of the hotel’s existing network infrastructure has also been extended without the need to add additional expensive Internet connections.
