Expand Networks (News - Alert), a provider of WAN optimization solutions for branch office consolidation and virtualization, announced that Christian Honore has been promoted to the position of vice president of sales, EMEA.

Serving Expand for the five years, Honore has been successful in enhancing the Company’s market position across Southern Europe. In his new role, Honore will oversee the Company’s continued growth and investment across the region.

Company officials expect that Honore will drive the next phase of Expand’s growth across key EMEA markets.

Honore has over 35 years experience in the IT sector serving continental Europe, Middle East and North Africa. Prior to joining Expand Networks, Honore held Senior VP Sales positions in Europe for Harris Adacom, SMC Networks (News - Alert) and CNT-McData, helping them grow their European businesses substantially. Honore also served as Senior Regional Sales Director, France and Southern Europe at Symantec (News - Alert) and Riverbed.

In his new role, Honore will bolster the company’s regional resources in order to further capitalize on local success and to take advantage of the burgeoning market traction of Expand’s innovative WAN optimization technologies.

 Having already executed on the requirements for Benelux, Honore is now focused on securing supplemental resource additions in the DACH region.
