Daisy Distribution announced this week that it has added Vodafone’s (News - Alert) One Net Business VoIP solution to its portfolio. One Net Business is a unified communications (UC) platform that offers both wireline and mobile communications over one phone number.
“As the rate of convergence maintains its pace, this type of UC solution is in high demand,” said Julien Parven, Daisy Distribution’s marketing director. “Not only does it provide the ability for end users to be responsive regardless of their location, but it is also an extremely scalable product that has the flexibility to be tailored to a customer’s needs.”
The U.K. company will offer an accreditation program for its partners as well as a £1,000 ($1690.65) credit on partners connecting accounts with greater than 12 seats until September.
Resellers are an important part of the business telecommunications ecosystem. With all the complicated options out there, a lot of businesses prefer to hire consultants and resellers to sort out all the options and equipment needed for modern business phone systems, especially as they move from the old complicated proprietary PBX (News - Alert) systems to modern VoIP and hosted systems.
Having a wide range of solutions to offer customers improves the credibility of these resellers. Customers who know that their resellers will always have a wide selection of products and services to choose from will tend to stick with them or move to a competitor who does have what they want. The rise of VoIP makes it relatively easier to switch to new solutions than with traditional phone systems, which should keep providers on their toes.
The new offering comes amid trouble with the Daisy Distribution’s parent company, Daisy Group. The company posted a 24.4 million pound ($41.1 million) loss in June with a round of acquisitions and high operating costs common in the telecommunications industry.
