The automated billing systems market has picked up momentum in the last few years. This is mainly due to admirable improvements in the field of billing technology and affordability of this technology for medium and small businesses (SMBs). As a result, companies have been offering tailor-made products for SMBs all over the world.
Recently, MI-Connection selected the complete suite of solutions Great Lakes Data Systems, Inc. to manage its billing cycles. MI-Connection has picked up GLDS' WinCable for its operations. With this, MI-Connection expects to improve its services such as enterprise billing and subscriber management, Super Controller for provisioning of triple-play services, Service Provisioning Gateway (News - Alert) (SPG) for automated voice and data provisioning, WinForce tech for empowering field technicians, CableAnytime for Web-based customer self-care, WinVoIP for call detail record billing, WinPay for automated payment processing, and more.
WinCable works with both Windows and Linux applications and customers do not need AS-400 or mainframe as result of this. It also provides improved operational control and provides more flexibility to the users. This broadband billing and subscriber management system has already been selected by companies that have 300 to 300,000 subscribers, claims GLDS.
“Mi-Connection had fairly broad requirements and several of their business systems were enmeshed with legacy platforms. They had a clear vision forward and GLDS has worked tirelessly to help take their customer management infrastructure to the next level," said Garrick Russell, GLDS' president. "We're especially pleased that Mi-Connection has recognized the value we bring to a project like this and we look forward to a long-lasting relationship.”
The company's billing software has been brining in lots of customers. In 2013, the company had added Click! Network and BCI Broadband to its growing list of customers. Both the companies had selected GLDS’ SuperController provisioning platform, and its WinForce tech mobile workforce management platform.
