Connecticut is a state that has seen rapid technological change over the past few years, and cloud computing is indeed among the most significant. Digital BackOffice, a provider of managed services in Connecticut, has recently signed a partnership agreement with Broadview Networks (News - Alert), a provider of cloud-based business communication services, to deliver cloud-based VoIP services to Connecticut businesses, schools and town halls.
“Digital BackOffice's network provides the service level guarantee necessary to keep you connected every hour of every day,” said Dale Bruckhart, vice president at Digital BackOffice, in a statement. “Combining our in-state network with Broadview's industry-leading cloud phone system creates a very powerful solution. We look forward to working together to help Connecticut municipalities reach their goals and to function at their highest potentials.”
This deal looks to help Connecticut businesses and municipalities utilize their existing data network infrastructure with Broadview's cloud-based business phone system, OfficeSuite. The solution includes an IP-based phone system, unlimited nationwide calling and an intuitive website for quick and easy updates. The company boasts that this system is capable of delivering a complete communications solution with state-of-the-art features and applications requiring no capital investment, maintenance contracts or additional IT resources.
Moreover, customers will now be able to redirect their calls to other offices, mobile phones and home phones with the click of a button via Broadview's intuitive website. It also allows employees to use any phone at any location and manage their own extensions and personal preferences. Other advantages of OfficeSuite are that it is accessible from laptops with a softphone application, as well as from smartphones and tablets via iOS and Android (News - Alert) applications. Voicemails can be easily accessed via the OfficeSuite phone, remotely with another phone, via the Web, by e-mail or via smartphone application, providing anywhere, anytime access.
“We are proud to join in Digital BackOffice's effort to help connect public institutions in Connecticut,” Jeff Blackey, senior vice president of marketing at Broadview said. “Cloud-based technologies, including our OfficeSuite service, are changing the way we communicate, and we are excited about being able to deliver these services to vital communities, including the education sector.”
