Voiceserve, Inc. Gains 71% Revenue Growth in Fiscal Year 2010

Voiceserve, Inc., a provider of software platform solutions for delivering affordable, complete, next generation services to Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Providers or 'ITSPs', has announced to report its financial results for company's full year and fourth quarter that ended on March 31, 2010. The company has grabbed a number of awards for its enhanced technology and has expanded its software capability during the last one year. It added various new modules such as its cellular dialers and also increased convention participation during the phase.

For the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2010, Voiceserve, which operates VoIP Switch, reported full year revenues of $3.3 million, which gained by approximately 71 percent in comparison to last year's revenues amounting to $1.9 million, which is an outcome of company's increased presences at industry exhibits and conferences and the introduction of softswitch modules by the company, which includes mobile dialers for Windows, Android and Apple (News - Alert) cell phones.
While the deferred revenue of the company doubled during fiscal year 2010 to $246,000 from $122,000, the company management hopes this growth pace will continue for near future as even more licenses and modules will be sold within its current user base and to other international markets. It aims at launching its services and solutions to large new markets in different parts of the world, which will boost its VoIP call volumes.
This fiscal year, Voiceserve has reported a net loss of $(665,000) or $(0.02) per share basic share, while for the fiscal year 2009 it was $(371,000) or $(0.01) per basic share. The company also reported net cash provided by operations of $191,000 during fiscal year 2010, and its gross profit on revenue for the duration was $2.1 million yielding a gross margin of 65 percent, in comparison to gross profit of $629,000 or 34 percent in the last twelve months.
Recently, the company has begun emphasizing upon software sales as compared to service and device sales, which has resulted in its year over year gross margin improvement, while the enrollment of its well known dialers compatible with most of the WIFI/3G/Edge handsets currently available on the retail market have also been vital in strengthening its revenues.
During the fiscal year 2010, the 'Sales, General & Administrative' or 'SG&A' costs of Voiceserve increased by $1.8 million, including its stock based compensation of $405,000, while the SG&A costs of the company were $2.8 million in fiscal year 2009, including stock based compensation of $50,000. This year, the company focused upon attending and presenting at industry conferences and trade shows, increased sales and marketing efforts, and developed Vippie mobile dialers for cellular phones, which led to the increase in its operating costs.
In March 2010, Voiceserve announced that its VoIP dialer for iPhone (News - Alert)/iPod, VoIP Switch iPhone dialer had been made compatible with the 3G platform, and had been authorized on the Apple Store. Additionally, the dialer provided all the usual cellular features to the users, such as SMS text messaging, conference call, call waiting, voice mail and call forwarding.
