Welcome to the latest edition of TMCnet's VoIP Week in Review featuring this week's top headlines in the VoIP industry.
This week, VoIP call recording provider SIP Print introduced a Call Accounting appliance that company officials say ensures greater flexibility and performance across SIP PBX (News - Alert) environments.
Singapore-based REVE Systems, a VoIP solution provider, also made headlines this week with the launch of a complete retail IP telephony platform the, "iTel Mobile VoIP Solution" for Indian VoIP service providers.
Company officials claim REVE Systems is the first to introduce the complete retail IP telephony platform for Indian service providers and note a contract has already been signed with a telecom service provider in India.
Updates to the Skype (News - Alert) for iPhone software were also announced this week. TMC's (News - Alert) David Sims reported that while the release of a new version comes as good news, there is still yet to be the addition of 3G calling that was promised.
On another positive note, conferencing solutions provider ClearOne announced that its VoIP MAX IP will now be priced identical to their Analog MAX EX offering.
'Enterprises can now make an easy choice whether to deploy VoIP or analog PSTN without the need for an ROI calculation,' Dave Petricig, vice president of telephony sales, North America said.
Finally, this week IP communications provider Broadvox held its first ever Partner Summit, showcasing new product offerings and demonstrations from sponsoring OEMs.
During the show, Broadvox also announced GO!Hosted, a feature rich hosted IP PBX to provide customers with a feature-rich package of options including powerful administrative controls and a broad range of end-user options.
TMC CEO, Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), also participated in the first ever event and moderated an introductory session as well as touredthe Broadvox headquarters with David Byrd (News - Alert), vice president of marketing and sales.
