As the ecosystem in which enterprises, telecoms and other service providers operate in continues to get more complex, they need to have clear visibility to all their voice and data traffic. Without this visibility, they will not be able to proactively address security and capacity issues as they happen. Edgewater Networks (News - Alert)' Network Edge Orchestration platform provides such visibility, and the company has added 888VoIP as a distributor of this service to extend its reach beyond its own customer base.
The 888VoIP Channel Advantage platform is part of the company's service that handles product distribution, technical support and solutions integration of IP communications for VoIP resellers, integrators and service providers. With this partnership, the company will be offering its customers call quality monitoring, security, survivability, traffic shaping and zero touch provisioning with Edgewater's Network Edge Orchestration platform, which includes the EdgeView Service Control Center and EdgeMarc Intelligent Edge solutions.
888VoIP carries VoIP phones by Cisco (News - Alert), Grandstream, Panasonic, Polycom, VTech and Yealink, and with so many brands, interoperability issues can be a problem. Edgewater has a vendor agnostic platform that delivers hybrid cloud/edge solutions to monitor, secure and optimize service quality for voice and data, this according to Dave Norman, CEO of Edgewater Networks.
Network Edge Orchestration has 20 million end points under management with close to 500,000 systems in services and over 10 million sessions since 2010. Users across the board can quickly scale to meet market demand while reducing capital and operational costs to provide high QoS and customer experience to lower customer churn.
EdgeView Service Control Center delivers real-time alerts/alarms for remote troubleshooting and management, fault isolation and reporting, and automated provisioning by providing all the visibility of an organization's voice and data traffic. It can quickly isolate service faults and provide advanced analytics to optimize network performance and service quality as events take place. The company said the solution is used to: provision and manage intelligent edges; monitoring and alerting; troubleshooting and issue remediation; and reporting and analysis.
EdgeMarc Intelligent Edge works in concert with EdgeView to actively monitor, secure and optimize service quality for voice, data and video traffic. It offers automated detection, service quality monitoring, proactive troubleshooting, fault tolerance and interoperability.
“Edgewater Networks' technology brings an incredibly strong value proposition to our channel, and we are honored to deliver that value, compounded with our existing value-add of providing our channel advantage,” said Jacob Buckley, 888VoIP Vendor Business Manager.
