Tone Software (News - Alert) Corp., a global provider of comprehensive monitoring and management solutions for advanced communications and collaboration ecosystems, apparently has done it again with its latest offering.
The company recently rolled out the new Visual360 intelligence portal for its ReliaTel VoIP and UC Service Assurance Solution. According to the company, the Visual 360 portal “…provides a revolutionary new way to visualize real-time unified communications quality, performance, and service level analytics correlated with operational and network conditions throughout the UC environment.” As part of the rollout, we reached out to Nick Davis, senior member of the ReliaTel Product Management team for Tone, to get an insider’s view of the new product.
TMC (News - Alert): Tone recently unveiled the new ReliaTel Visual360. Can you tell us a little bit about that? What is its main purpose?
Nick Davis: We are really excited about the new ReliaTel Visual360, which is an advanced methodology for operations groups to visualize real-time unified communications quality, performance, and service level analytics, all correlated with network dependencies and the underlying transport layer health throughout the unified communications environment. What ReliaTel Visual360 really does is enable operations teams to visualize the relationships and dependencies between devices, applications and network segments involved in the critical application path of UC and collaboration sessions.
TMC: Why would you say the ReliaTel Visual360 is a better choice than what the competition offers?
ND: Most solutions require the users, operators, and engineers to access multiple screens, dashboards, reports and facilities to obtain the specific diagnostics and metrics necessary for troubleshooting. Then, they must keep those data points in mind, and mentally connect those dots as a detective would – piecing together the real picture of what's happening, where the issues are originating, and why issues are occurring. With Visual360, we bring all that information and activity into one correlated visual portal, combining the metrics, devices, and dependencies together in one view so teams can instantly see the relationships between the data points, and understand the true source of quality or performance issues.
TMC: You rolled out the Visual360 at the recent IAUG show. What was the reaction?
ND: The reactions and feedback we got were extremely positive. We heard things like ‘mind blowing’ and ‘revolutionary.’ In particular, the users were especially excited to see the extensive capabilities Visual360 provides to filter and focus the information you see. For example, you can filter out high-quality traffic from the view, and focus on just mediocre and low quality traffic to isolate the sessions, segments, and assets that need attention and resolution in the short term, before it becomes business impactful. It’s definitely a game-changer when you put that kind of in-depth control into the hands of the operations teams when it comes to monitoring and managing the UC ecosystem.
TMC: What’s coming down the pike next for Tone Software and ReliaTel?
ND: We’ve listened to and collaborated with our customers, and we’re building on the momentum of ReliaTel Visual360 and taking it to the next level. With UC and collaboration solutions taking a decidedly cloud-oriented and multi-vendor direction, the ability to bring all that diversity into clear focus through Visual360 is a key benefit. Hence, we’re leveraging that foundation to deliver even more valuable data that is meaningful to all levels throughout an organization, including operations, management and the executives responsible for the business bottom line.
