Unified communications is taking the business world by storm, as it enables firms to bring together the growing list of communication technologies into a unified whole that is easier to use and less time-consuming for workers.
Yet, choosing a managed services provider for unified communications can be a challenge: There are many firms that offer managed UC services, and not all are created equal.
Tone Software (News - Alert) looks to cut through the confusion later this month with a session it is giving at the IAUG CONVERGE 2015 conference, held in Denver, Colo. from June 14-18. The session, “Managed Services Match Up: How to Compare, Select, and Manage a UC Service Provider,” will outline what businesses need to consider when choosing a managed UC partner—and what to avoid.
The session will guide participants through how to compare, select and manage its UC Managed Service Provider, according to the IAUG conference web site. In the session, key elements and deliverables that must be included will be discussed, and the session will look at how service packages should be structured to align with a company’s business model. It also will discuss the different program structures typically offered for UC Managed Services in today’s market.
Those who attend the session, according to IAUG, will learn the practical criteria to determine the best provider and program for a business; develop a clear understanding of Managed Service Provider best practices; understand how to build transparency into a business’ Managed Services Program; learn key elements that will enable oversight and validation of the expected service levels; dive deep into the operational processes every provider must have to efficiently provide UC services; and show how to drive the expected ROI from a business’ UC managed services.
IAUG CONVERGE 2015 is part of the International Avaya (News - Alert) Users Group (IAUG), a 5,200 member strong group that combines the previous Avaya and heritage Nortel user groups into one of the world's largest international organizations for communications technology professionals. IAUG serves as a forum for the global Avaya customer community, and provides a voice and resource for Avaya customers everywhere. IAUG CONVERGE 2015 provides one of the most comprehensive programs around that focuses on integration, managed services, cost management, BYOD, cloud and other elements of UC.
The session on managed services will be led by Paul Wiggins, Tone Software director of UC strategies, and it will take place Monday, June 15, from 2:15 – 3:15 PM in room 405 of the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
