Equiinet has announced it has expanded operations into Arizona and Southern California. The initiative follows the merger of Ubiquita and Equiinet a provider of business VoIP, unified threat management, connectivity failover, URL filtering, caching and other communications services all delivered via a single device.
“The expansion into California and Arizona was a natural move in response to demands for our services in the marketplace,” said Leith Martin, Equiinet CEO. “With the support of our dedicated team of channel managers, agents and partners, we will continue to provide exceptional customer service.”
The company specializes in the manufacture of extremely secure server appliances and focuses on fully converged voice and data products and the services to support these.
TinaPilot is the latest addition to the Equiinet family of products which combines voice and data communication solutions cost effectively. It is offered on a monthly subscription-fee basis. TinaPilot is a single box product that delivers high quality telephony services along with data services that include Internet access, threat prevention, Web filtering, backup facilities and more, all in a single ‘Comms-in-a-box’ solution.
Services provided over the Internet ensure a secure and cost-effective communications environment further enhanced by an efficient monitoring system. Over 12,000 schools, 35,000 businesses and the U.K. armed forces have deployed Equiinet solutions.
Rhonda Rae, director of sales and marketing at Equiinet said, “Considering the size of opportunity in Arizona and California the fastest way to expand is through the channel. Agent partners will have the opportunity to become part of a global brand with more than 15 years of experience and over 45,000 customers.”
The new entity to be known as Equiinet will be located in Las Vegas and will retain a facility in Swindown, U.K. Among the products and services offered by the new entity are caching, communication services, connectivity failover, unified threat management, URL filtering and VoIP. The services and products are targeted to serve the needs of businesses and schools that are located in North America and Europe.
“We’ve been delighted with the progress Ubiquita has made in utilizing and promoting the Equiinet technologies over the last year or so,” said Keith Baker, Equiinet’s U.K. managing director and vice president.
