NovoPath, a provider of Anatomic Pathology Best-of-Breed Software Solutions, announced the release of the latest version of its wave file-based AP digital voice dictation software.
The new release – NovoVoice 7.8 – is designed to streamline the entire AP transcription process, while supporting the seamless integration of voice recognition systems into the report generation protocol. The process also eliminates intermixing of patient data, as it associates each wave file with only the relevant case.
“The release of NovoVoice 7.8 reduces transcription time, furthering our efforts to streamline workflow in the AP lab,” said Rick Callahan, VP of Sales and Marketing at NovoPath, in a statement. “We are pleased to offer enhanced features that further exemplify NovoPath’s unique understanding of the anatomic pathology lab, and our commitment to assist our growing list of laboratory partners overcome the challenges exclusive to this sector.”
The voice dictation software can be customized to meet a wide range of customer preferences. NovoVoice can be used by pathologists, pathology assistants, cytotechnologists, histotechnologists, and other laboratory professionals to dictate and digitally capture complex reports during grossing or sign-out. Furthermore, they can automatically assign voice files for transcription and check the documents later wherever their network is available. The voice dictation software can additionally be integrated into larger hospital management systems.
Earlier in April, NovoPath also announced the first smartphone apps for Android and Apple (News - Alert) users, enabling secure, on-the-go access to full-length AP reports. The new NovoNotifier Mobile allows clinicians receiving AP reports from NovoPath partner laboratories to have a unique tool at their disposal, assisting in their quest to provide the very best care to their patients.
