Quintum Achieves Hardware Certification as Microsoft Partner

Spencer D. Chin, TMCnet Web Editor

VoIP solutions provider Quintum (News - Alert) Technologies has announced it is a Microsoft Certified Partner in the Microsoft Partner Program. Quintum Tenors assure seamless interoperability with Microsoft (News - Alert) Office Communications Server 2007.

Microsoft Certified Partners have achieved competencies in one or more areas of expertise and have accrued customer references that attest to their successful efforts. In addition, Certified Partners have access to tools and training that are not publicly available, that will allow Quintum to continually expand on the skills of our engineering staff, to better support Quintum and Microsoft customers, and provide exceptional customer service.

Quintum’s engineers are assuring that the Tenor products and Microsoft’s software perform seamlessly together. Testing continues with enhanced features, in preparation for the upcoming Office Communications Server 2007.

Quintum developed a customized configuration wizard to simplify any Tenor’s deployment with Office Communications Server 2007. The software is embedded in the Tenor Switches and is free with all Tenors sold for a Office Communications Server 2007 implementation.

In addition, Quintum has created a Microsoft microsite  at http://www.quintum.com/microsoft/index.html
that provides information on Quintum’s products and how they function within an Office Communications Server 2007 environment. Quintum also has Microsoft specific support processes and engineers to provide 7x24 support for Microsoft customers.

Quintum is providing a VoIP solution that simplifies connecting Office Communications Server 2007 to legacy analog telephony devices and the PSTN. The configuration wizard, a wide variety of product sizes and configurations to fit any office, and the ability for enterprises to expand their network at their own pace, all combine to make Quintum’s Tenor suited to connecting the PSTN to VoIP deployments for unified communications.

“We are very excited about the innovation that Office Communications Server 2007 and its unified communication platform brings to the enterprise communications market,” said Chuck Rutledge, vice president of marketing at Quintum Technologies. “As a Certified Partner in the Microsoft Partner Program, we have shown our commitment to supporting Microsoft unified communications customers.”

Quintum also attended the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Denver in July, and demonstrated to value added resellers and systems integrators the Quintum Tenor’s ability to easily integrate Microsoft unified communications platform with their existing voice and data network.
