Hosted communications and managed voice services firm Telanetix says its AccessLine unit will now deploy Quintum's (News - Alert) Tenors as gateways to be placed on their customers' premises when delivering digital (T1/PRI) services.
AccessLine, a provider of hosted communications and managed voice services to the small to medium-sized business (SMB) market, will deploy the Tenors at the customer location to interface with their existing phone system.
Jerry Knight (News - Alert), CTO for AccessLine Communications, said the ease with which the company can provision, configure, and manage its network was a “key factor in our selection of Tenor.
"Our customers don't have to change any of their telephony infrastructures to take advantage of our cost savings and features," said Knight.
AccessLine is using Quintum's Auto-Provisioning feature that has simplified deployment of Tenors for service providers who deploy equipment to the customer prem. AccessLine will be utilizing the Tenor DX product to provide 1 through 4 T1 interfaces to customer's PBXs, according to the companies.
Quintum Technologies is a provider of VoIP solutions.
The new Auto-provisioning feature works in conjunction with AccessLine's existing back-office system. When a Tenor is deployed, it will interface with AccessLine's OAM&P (Operation, Administration, Maintenance and Provisioning system to request the download of the relevant configuration file for that specific Tenor.
The entire process is carried out using standard secure signaling protocols with individual unit authentication to insure maximum system integrity. AccessLine can also use this function to perform automatic software upgrades and other system maintenance tasks.
"AccessLine is a great example of a service provider who is building a VoIP network that serves the needs of customers while offering world-class customer service and a network that will scale", said Chuck Rutledge (News - Alert), VP Marketing for Quintum. "The Auto-provisioning capability in the AccessLine network allows them to focus on growing their business without concern of the CPE deployment time and expense."
AccessLine SmartVoice T1 service includes local, long distance, toll free and international calling as well as enhanced features such as fax mailboxes, unified messaging, and follow me services.
