Minacom, a provider of VoIP test solutions for cable multi-service operators (MSOs), announced today successful interoperability testing of its patent pending MTA (multimedia terminal adapter) loopback VoIP test technique with Cedar Point Communications’ SAFARI C3 media switching system.
The testing technique in question “allows cable operators to remotely measure service quality as perceived by subscribers by testing directly to their MTAs, without having to deploy a technician,” Minacom explained in a press release.
Cedar Point has achieved a major milestone by producing a telephony solution for cable operators that ensures subscriber MTA status is maintained correctly for the entire duration of tests, Minacom noted.
“Minacom and Cedar Point share the same vision and success in developing industry-leading solutions that simplify VoIP deployment and management in cable networks,” the company’s CEO, Michel Nadeau, said in a statement.
