Codatel Networks Drives VoIP Bill Portioning with PortaSwitch VoIP Call Control

Regionally-hosted wholesale and retail billing portioning services are now available to VoIP carriers and service providers from Codatel Networks. The Australian IP telephony and converged communications systems provider drives this capability by the PortaSwitch VoIP call control and billing platform.



In addition, the solution is hosted on an Australian infrastructure to assure carriers in the Asia-Pacific region have access to what is positioned as one of the best telecom systems on the market with no upfront capital investment. Codatel focuses on the development, marketing and support of an innovative IP telephony and multi-platform converged communications systems for a full range of carriers, from Tier One to small and mid-sized companies. A privately-owned company, Codatel also serves a wide range of retail customers and is well suited to help IP-focused telecoms to effectively compete in the Asia-Pacific region at a minimal cost.

PortaSwitch is available from communications software company PortaOne (News - Alert) and is capable of handling the complete call control and converged VoIP billing functions of a diversified digital services company. PortaSwitch also enables wholesale VoIP carriers to deliver a wide range of business models quickly and effectively. A comprehensive product, the PortaSwitch consists of a real-time billing system, class 4 and 5 SIP softswitch and application servers that can deliver converged VoIP billing and provisioning, SIP call control, unified messaging, IP Centrex and hosted IP PBX (News - Alert), callback management, IVRs, conferencing and more. In implementing the PortaSwitch solution, Codatel Networks’ further enhances its offering with the PortaOne PortaBilling 100 Advanced application. PortaBilling 100 Advanced offers simultaneous multiprocessing and a dedicated database architecture designed to improve performance within the core billing server.
