Hosted Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) carrier Alianza (News - Alert) recently made the official announcement that it would be partnering with leading customer management and billing provider GLDS to simplify VoIP management and ultimately reduce the price of VoIP Services. By successfully integrating the WinCable management platform into Alianza's VoIP platform, Alianza will now be able to offer customers the same great VoIP phone service at a far more affordable price, according to The Herald in Rock Hill, SC.
Hosted VoIP services are a much cheaper phone alternative than landline telephony for several reasons: not only is service more affordable due to the fact that calls are transferred through the Internet, but hosted services allow smaller businesses to use the same equipment large businesses do by remotely accessing the provider's Private Branch Exchange (PBX (News - Alert)) and other hardware. Because these services are hosted in the cloud, businesses in almost any location can access reliable and high-quality VoIP telephony without spending thousands on in-house equipment.
“We believe that the lowest cost and most agile approach to broadband infrastructure can be found in the cloud,” said Garrick Russell, president of GLDS. The fact that hosted VoIP is cloud-based offers a unique interaction between GLDS's own cloud-based platform that makes integration of the two services almost seamless. “The partnership and proven integration with Alianza will make it easier, faster and less expensive for small and large service providers to deploy and manage VoIP.”
Meanwhile, Alianza's Executive Vice President of Business Development, Kevin Dundon, noted that “We share a common vision with GLDS: make voice easy to deploy and manage. Integrating with GLDS's cloud-based back-office and customer care solution helps broadband providers accelerate service deployment and reduce the cost of operations.”
