Telepoint Global Rolls Out Neptune Voice Services Platform for VoIP Service Providers
January 23, 2014

Telepoint Global Hosting Services recently announced the launch of its Neptune Voice Services Platform designed to enable VoIP service providers and resellers to globally trade in minutes without any additional investment on infrastructure. The new cloud-based platform is expected to enable robust management of global wholesale telecommunications services.
In a statement, Russ Bierschbach, partner and chief technical officer at Telepoint Global, said “For the first time, Telepoint Global Hosting is making its proven wholesale voice platform available to any small and mid-size company for fractions of what these operations would typically cost. In addition to allowing more companies to compete, the Neptune Platform offers real-time reporting and monitoring, includes capabilities to increase responsiveness to market demands and, ultimately, allows service providers to maximize profits and minimize losses.”
With large telecom carriers expanding their business into new and emerging markets, telecom providers are reeling under the pressure to stay competitive in the marketplace for minutes. Telecom providers are unable to make any noticeable profits with full-time network operations and the need for server maintenance and billing software is mounting up the pressure further.
The newly launched platform enables telecom providers to increase profitability with a host of innovative features for management of calls, customers and subscriptions. The platform also offers user-friendly web interface and live dashboards for managing business and performance metrics. The Neptune Voice Services Platform is designed for high reliability and security, with built-in redundancy at each of the physical sites.
The built-in features of the newly launched platform include dynamic routing, network visualization, real-time monitoring and reporting, customer and vendor rate management, invoicing and bill reconciliation. The platform is built using a switching architecture that supports 98 percent of the global codecs, with access points located in Dublin.
