Tadiran Telecom, a provider of communication software and solutions, recently announced that its Aeonix solution has been awarded Oracle - Acme Packet (News - Alert)'s Technical Certification. This certification, following extensive mutual testing and configuration, signifies the solution’s successful compatibility with Oracle (News - Alert) - Acme Packet SBC security and authentication solution, meaning Aeonix users’ VoIP and video calls will be better protected.

Aeonix will now be able to take advantage of efficient signaling and media communications encryption, DDoS attack protection, and multi-layered authentication using a signed certificate. Also, users will be able to leverage NAT traversal functionality to ensure constant, efficient communication between agents and employees.  Ultimately, both parties to a call will be securely identified and authenticated.

Released earlier this year, Aeonix R2 features an HTML5-based dispatch console, which users can employ to manage their networks from any device, like a tablet or smartphone.  The solution supports up to 25,000 users; offers fault tolerance by replicating databases everywhere so that users are able to maintain communications, even in the event of the loss of a WAN connection; enhances security; delivers full integration with applications such as the Aeonix Contact Center; and provides additional functionality for SIP phones, such as silent monitoring, zone paging, group muting in audio conferences, and call preemption. It is already in use by many customers, including major players in the education, power and transportation verticals.
