SolarWinds (News - Alert), a provider of IT management software, has announced that it has upgraded its VoIP & Network Quality Manager to enable businesses to connect call issues with WAN performance for advanced troubleshooting.

According to the company, its improved VoIP & Network Quality Manager allows users to have an in depth view of all aspects of VoIP and WAN performance by allowing them to search and filter call detail records (CDRs) and call management records.

The solution is designed to enable users to configure intelligent alerts that notify them when specific VoIP or WAN performance thresholds are crossed so they are the first to know when an issue arises. It even monitors the performance of VoIP calls by analyzing call detail records (CDRs) generated by Cisco (News - Alert) CallManager.

When used along with VoIP gateway and trunk monitoring, SolarWinds VoIP & Network Quality Manager can monitor and display Cisco MGCP VoIP gateway details, including PRI trunk utilization.

The company has included additional features yo helps users to recognize the top 10 quality issues for all calls in a designated gateway and provides a streamlined view of all trunks, allowing IT pros to view data and VoIP capacity and prioritize capacity for premium VoIP call quality.

In addition to refining the VoIP & Network Quality Manager, the company has announced that it has improved integration with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM), a network fault and availability management solution.

According to SolarWinds officials, NPM enables network administrators to monitor network performance and gain enhanced visibility into VoIP node details. They can also access VoIP node detail information through the SolarWinds NPM platform.

The company is currently offering the SolarWinds VoIP & Network Quality Manager starting at $1,495, including a year of maintenance. The latest version of SolarWinds NPM will be available later this month, with pricing starting at $2,675, also including a year of maintenance.
