VoIP Switches Help Voice Trader LLC Triple Business

VoIP services have been rapidly expanding, particularly in the wake of recent cloud, mobile, and Internet advancement. VoIP switches are now beginning to integrate additional feature-rich services into their primary voice transmission platforms. Organizations would thus be remiss to forgo these powerful emerging opportunities provided by fully converged unified communications platforms.

This message has not been lost on many businesses, as Voice Trader LLC recently revealed that it has tripled its business after implementing PortaSwitch into its wholesale VoIP solution. PortaSwitch, developed by PortaOne (News - Alert), a telecom software infrastructure provider, is a software only Class 4/5 softswitch platform with an integrated billing system and IVR/media apps capability. It supports a diverse array of services and business models encompassing voice/data, wholesale and retail, in both prepaid and postpaid billing formats.

The company found the softswitch’s ability to bring together a variety of converged services very appealing, and was impressed by its interoperability in a variety of environments. The fact that the VoIP switch can manage multiple business services within a single system mades it a highly desirable asset for their wholesale VoIP offerings.

"The big benefit of using PortaSwitch is the ability to offer large-scale telecommunications services, an extensive set of solution-solving features and an effective management structure that ensure new opportunities for implementing value-added services," said Voice Trader CEO Armenak Khachatryan in a statement.

VoIP switches help Internet telephone service providers (ITSPs) and large enterprises reduce costs by removing the need for complex, physical telephone switch boards and replacing them with completely software based, or soft, switches. The softswitches contain databases of users, IP addresses, and telephone numbers which are cross references to make voice connections over the internet. VoIP switches are able to learn switching information from other softswitches and remember this information for future exchanges, allowing for efficient and reliable voice communication.

Being software-based, a host of other features can be included in a VoIP system that adds the already large cost savings afforded to VoIP users. IVR, billing, video, CRM systems, and other applications can be integrated within the VoIP switch to create a fully interoperable platform. Decreased costs and increased capabilities lead to satisfied customers.

"Customer satisfaction is of key importance for us," said Khachatryan. "We offer our customers a range of advantages: outstanding quality, reliable and low cost VoIP services to any destination, plus 24/7 service and great customer support. With all that PortaSwitch offers, we're confident we have the means to continue to thrive."
