VoIP Switch - Speedflow Communications Releases MediaCore VoIP Switch Version 3.0

Speedflow Communications has just released the all new MediaCore Class 4 Softswitch, for VoIP wholesale providers.

A VoIP switch or softswitch is a central device that connects telephone calls from one network to the other via Voice over Internet Protocol networks. The new version of the Class 4 Softswitch comes with integrated billing capabilities and boasts new features that reflect up-to-date industry trends and expectations.

Available starting this month, the MediaCore version 3.0 offers not just dial peer routing algorithms for boosting client’s productivity and flexibility, but also context routing for voice providers with geographically distributed server clusters. The sophisticated and tailored routing feature of the new version also helps to increase call completion by up to 15 percent and minimizes the routine workflow.

Additionally, the revamped VoIP switch boasts multicurrency which will enable VoIP companies to accept different currencies during their operation without having to worry about conversion of price lists and balances from one currency into another.

Further, the company has also enhanced the CDR generation mechanism in the MediaCore v3.0 and now call detail records are available for incoming and outgoing calls and are much closer to real- time. CDRs include a much wider range of available data as well as a refreshed Web interface that allows exporting of any report in Excel files..

On-Net Routing
On-Net Routing is the feature that allows placing calls from one account in the system to another account in the system.

Ability to Charging On-Net (Account-to-Account) Calls
In some cases it might be necessary to charge either caller or callee or both for the on-net call based on per-minute rate.

Automatic Database Backup
The Softswitch includes the system which allows performing automatic backup of the database periodically.

Ability to Get exchange rate using external script
Exchange rates can be set using external custom script.
