Voiceserve, a provider of next-generation Internet telephony software and services, recently had its Voipswitch mobile dialers known as Vippie 2 on display at an industry event. The revamped dialer gives a new dimension to communication via 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The company’s software platform delivers affordable next-generation services to Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Service Providers (ITSPs). And Voipswitch is a custom, modular, all-in-one Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) management platform licensing solution for resellers that features a highly scalable SIP and H323 softswitch with integrated billing.

VoipSwitch is a software platform allowing for rapid VoIP services roll-out. It contains all necessary elements required in successful implementation of various VoIP services.

The switch includes Class 5 features such as follow me, call forwarding, voicemail and more. The calling card platform comes with IP IVR capabilities including pin or pin-less scenarios, while the callback solution supports all types of triggering methods such as SMS, missed call and Web callback.

Some of the innovative features of Voipswitch include a Web Callshop interface, SMS features for both wholesale and retail services, mobile SIP for Symbian, Windows Mobile, IPhone, Android (News - Alert) and BlackBerry users, Windows communicator with instant messaging, SMS, voicemail and many other modules.

The solution also comes complete with multi-tenant, multi-user IP PBX (News - Alert) platform for offering hosted services, unified messaging, voicemail/SMS forwarding to SMS or email, voicemail transcriptions, calls recording and more.

"We are looking forward to returning to the conference - and be able to tell the continuing story of Voipswitch's latest release. ITW is the perfect arena to enhance established relationships and generate new business especially with world renowned carriers," said Voiceserve CEO Michael Bibelman in a statement.

In another related development in the VoIP softswitch market, recently PortaOne, a provider of software for the communications and utility industries, completed interoperability testing between PortaOne's PortaSwitch billing/subscriber management platform that boasts VoIP functionality with DIDWW's global Direct Inward Dialing (DID) access solutions.
