VoIP Switch - PortaOne's VoIP Switch Fully Compatible with DIDWW's Global Direct Inward Dialing Solutions

PortaOne (News - Alert), a provider of software for the communications and utility industries, recently has completed interoperability testing between PortaOne's PortaSwitch billing/subscriber management platform that boasts VoIP functionality with DIDWW's global Direct Inward Dialing (DID) access solutions.

DIDWW provides IP-based communications services, including DID access on a worldwide basis. Its global infrastructure is designed to handle origination services with full redundancy and provide its customers with access to premium network resources

The newly formed partnership enables telecom carriers and resellers to gain access to a complete end-to-end DID service lineup in over 60 countries on five continents. It also dramatically simplifies operations for carriers and service providers who are using PortaSwitch.

PortaSwitch includes a softswitch and application servers and provides billing and provisioning, SIP call control, unified messaging, IP Centrex and IP PBX (News - Alert), voice VPN, callback management, conferencing and more. It allows IP telephony service providers deliver a wide variety of business models quickly and flexibly.

In some cases it might be necessary to charge either caller or callee or both for the on-net call based on per-minute rate.

Automatic Database Backup
The Softswitch includes the system which allows performing automatic backup of the database periodically.

Ability to Get exchange rate using external script
Exchange rates can be set using external custom script.
